Using the instruction manual

I did something unusual last week. I read the instruction manual to set up my new printer.

I’m one of those crazy people who wing it instead of reading the instruction manual. One time I installed a shelf backwards in a bookshelf. Another time I had leftover screws for the lawnmower . . . still wondering about what might fall off. But with the barbecue I gave up . . . and asked our son to put it together.

But with the printer I knew I couldn’t wing the wifi setup. And I was amazed! It worked!

You know, reading God’s instruction manual–the Bible–works, too. I always told my students there are two ways to learn something–either by reading or by experiencing something.

And you know . . . experiences aren’t always fun, are they?

I’ve decided it’s better to learn by reading.

And personally, I love how this book turns out!
