Comfort food

I was a hurting, sobbing mess today after someone I love hurt me. So I turned to . . . truth be told, Cheetos for comfort.
Then I read this scripture:
“Daniel answered and said:
‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding;
he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.
To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king’s matter.'”
–Daniel 2:20-23
I read it again and again . . . and created this meme . . . and read Daniel’s poem again.
Then I took one look at the Cheetos and said, “I don’t need you.”
God’s Word is always food for thought . . . but it’s also this:
– Food for comfort when others hurt me
– Food for direction when I am confused
– Food for encouragement when I’m down on myself
– Food for reflection when I need to be challenged
– Food for self-control when I am frustrated
– Food for patience when I am tired of waiting
May God’s Word completely fill you up today . . . and always.
Keep LookingUp!
